The Menlove Magnificat

Detective Inspector Natasha (‘Tash’) Kent has been on a period of enforced compassionate leave following the murder of the man she loved, also a police officer. Finally allowed to return to work, she’s dismayed to learn that she will not be working at police headquarters as formerly, but is being sent to the small town of Menlove on the border between England and Wales. She is immediately required to investigate a case of murder after human remains are discovered locally. The victim, a young woman, was killed years ago and the chances of finding the culprit are remote. Tash has to mould an inexperienced team to help her try and crack the case. It proves to be a surprisingly complex investigation requiring all her skills.
