Long Finish

Lucy Long’s fourth investigation starts with trying to locate a missing person on behalf of a worried relative. She also has more dealings with her father.  Robert Long, although a brilliant academic, has asperger's syndrome and can be both difficult and challenging, but who nonetheless sometimes manages to help and surprise her. Madeline, her partner is being emotionally blackmailed into committing a crime by returning to her old life. Meanwhile a shadowy puppet master is keeping watch on all her actions, waiting to strike when the time is right.
